Ever since Ronald Reagan reduced taxes and almost DOUBLED the "tax take" the Democrats have been making a purposeful effort to SABOTAGE the economy so their lying predictions of a recession would come true. And when Bush "compounded" things by reducing taxes (again), continuing the excellent economy Reagan started, they put their plan in "high gear" Earlier they had created of the "Community Reinvestment Act of 1977" (CRA) while they had a Democrat-dominated Congress and a Democrat president (Clinton) at the same time. This law MANDATED "economic suicide" by FORCING lending companies to loan money to people who cannot repay it (to avoid being accused of "redlining," thus making sure that several of the largest lenders in the business would "go belly-up" or require BILLIONS in aid. Among the first to go were the two main companies the GOVERNMENT set up to BUY all these bad loans with tax money, making it easier on these more honest lenders who were forced to make such loans and slow down the march to disaster. Their timing was perfect. Their "chickens came home to roost less than a month before the 2008 presidential election and they're falsely claiming the whole thing is the fault of "eight years of Bush (translation: Republican) policies and now have the major issue they wanted for the election (Meanwhile, even the Republicans won't talk about CRA). The truth is, the Republicans tried to "rein them in" 12 times, and every time, the Democrats blocked them.
They're counting on the fact that MOST Americans just don't pay any attention to politics until just before an election, when the lies are flying; and so haven't a clue as to what the Democrats (liberals) are doing and "swallow" all their lies, "hook, line, and sinker." They hope this will translate into TOTAL control of our government by Democrats so they can move us ever closer to socialism, where the government makes all your major decisions and tells you how to spend what little money you have left after they tax most of it away from you. Their problem now is they went too far and even they now can't "fix it." People WILL notice that come next election (even if they're not paying attention to the ACTIONS of the government) and that's when they'll lose their dominance. Unfortunately, even the Republicans won't be able to "fix it" in the next four years after that and the Americans, who NEVER "pay attention" to what politicians are doing overall, will put another Democrat administration back in, and the cycle will repeat itself. I hope I'm dead by then. (Just common sense)
